Bio
Dr. Aktan is an Associate Professor of Finance at the College of Business Administration, AACSB accredited Business School of the University of Bahrain, Kingdom of Bahrain and is a Research Fellow at EuroMed Research Business Institute, Emerging Markets Groups. He also holds Adjunct Professorships at the University of Lahor, School of Accountancy and Finance. Dr. Aktan’s current research activity focuses on emerging capital markets, global investments, corporate valuation and energy issues. He has published in different refereed journals such as International Journal of Forecasting, The European Journal of Finance, International Journal of Business, Journal of Property Investment and Finance. He is a member of some professional bodies such as American Finance Association (AFA), The Financial Management Association International (FMA), and The Society for Financial Econometrics (SOFIE), among others. Dr. Aktan is Founding Editor‐in‐Chief of Journal of Islamic Financial Studies (JIFS) and has served several international scholarly journals on the editorial boards suchas Qualitative Research in Financial Markets, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Issues, Journal of Public and Municipal Finance, Journal of Security and Sustainability Issues.
