My Research focused on Medicinal chemistry related to drug discovery and structural modification of epigenetic small molecule inhibitors against cancer types including breast, prostate, and liver cancer.
I also discovered a series of tissue selective anti-fibrotic agents against the untreatable disease-Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. To date, we have synthesized and investigated lead compounds that showed high efficacy with low systematic toxicity for liver cancer and breast cancer treatments. We also found the lung tissue selective lead compound for IPF, that is more than 1000-fold enhanced in anti-fibrotic effect relative to the standard care.
