Bio
We solve many-electron Hamiltonians to provide a theoretical description of the physical properties of solids. We use mean-field based methods such as density-functional theory (DFT) and tight-binding models within Hartree-Fock formalism for this purpose. Our research focus is to understand the inter-play between the spin, charge and lattice degrees of freedom of electrons in crystalline solids. . Tailoring new materials for application purposes is one of the important aspects of my research.
