Bio
Biqiao Zhang (S’16) received the BS degree in information management and information system, the BA degree in economics, in 2011, and the MS degree in information science, in 2013, all from Peking University, Beijing, China. She is working toward the PhD degree working with professor Emily Mower Provost and professor Georg Essl in computer science and engineering with the University of Michigan. She is a student member of the IEEE. Her research interests are in human-centered computing and affective computing using acoustic signal processing and machine learning methods. In particular, she is interested developing methods that can address factors that negatively impact the generalizability of automatic emotion recognition systems.
