Bio
Dr. Bikram Basak works as an Associate Professor at the Petroleum and Mineral Research Institute of the Department of Earth Resources and Environmental Engineering at Hanyang University, South Korea. He earned his MS and PhD from the University of North Bengal and the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, India, respectively. His current work has been broadly focusing on the biotechnology of the pretreatment, acidogenic fermentation, and anaerobic co-digestion of various organic wastes for the cost-effective production of biofuel. In addition, specific interest has also been in the microbial remediation of organic pollutants in the environment. He is also leading an early career R&D project as lead PI, funded by National Research Foundation, Govt. of South Korea.
