Pharmacogenetic characterization of genes that codes for drug metabolizing enzymes and transporters in both healthy and diseased individuals of African origin. The data generated from this research efforts could be useful in improving the well-being of Patients through genotype-based dose adjustment, thus enhancing safety and efficacy of the drugs. Also, it will assist to bridge the gap of strategic implementation of personalized medicine for drugs with narrow therapeutic window.
