Benjamin Pontiller

My research focuses on elucidating the functional dynamics of heterotrophic bacteria in the degradation of ecologically relevant sources of organic compounds based on field studies, mesocosm, and microcosm experiments by applying state-of-the-art techniques in microbiology, microbial ecology, and molecular biology (e.g. metatranscriptomics).
