Bio
Benedetta Pioppi (F) graduated cum laude in Civil Engineering at University of Perugia. She was visiting scholar at CUNY University (NYC, USA) investigating human centred design solutions for building energy efficiency, indoor-outdoor comfort, microclimate change and urban resilience. She got her PhD in energy and sustainable development at CIRIAF Interuniversity research centre on pollution and environment "Mauro Felli"-University of Perugia. She contributed to several National and European projects under the framework of Horizon 2020 program, such as ZERO-PLUS, SWS HEATING. Her research interests cover indoor and outdoor microclimate analysis for environmental comfort, energy-saving and city resilience to climate change; energy efficiency and thermal-energy performance optimization in buildings. She also acts as a consultant for managing research and developments projects into the companies connecting science and business to generate high impact.
