Professional interests: B. Krawczyk is a microbiologist and molecular biologist whose work is focused on molecular diagnostics and phylogenetic analysis of bacterial strains, clinic microbiology and molecular epidemiology, biotechnology (new polymerases DNA and application, molecular assays for detection and differentiation strains and bacteria/fungal species). Her research is mainly rooted within epidemiology, and pathogenesis of E. coli, Klebsiella spp., Enterococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Acinetobacter spp. Her recent research is urinary tract infections and sepsis/urosepsis. She is interested in the detection of virulence factors important to UTI and sepsis, and antibiotic resistance mechanisms. The author of many student books, original articles related to microbiology and molecular diagnostics and review articles published in scientific and professional journals. Her published works deal with the design of molecular tests, evaluation and application of molecular typing methods of bacteria and fungi, problems with sepsis and susceptibility to antibiotics.
