Career Trajectory
Bio
Originally from New York City, Lindsay received her B.S. in Computer Science and M.S. in Physics from the University of Chicago. She obtained her Ph.D. in Computational Physics from University of Southern California, where she focused on non-adiabatic quantum molecular dynamics simulations on world-class supercomputers, before turning her sights towards simulations with quantum computers. She moved to the bay area in mid-2020 to start her postdoctoral work at LBNL, focused mainly on materials simulations on quantum computers. She was recently awarded the prestigious Marie Curie Fellowship, which will take her to Pisa, Italy for two years to investigate open questions in quantum thermodynamics with quantum computers.
