Barry E. Goodison

Barry E. Goodison received the B.A. degree in geography from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, in 1968, and the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, in 1969 and 1977, respectively. Since 1973 he has been with the Meteorological Service of Canada, Toronto. His areas of research include hydrometeorology, precipitation, and snowfall/snow cover measurement, passive microwave algorithm development, and climate/cryosphere studies. He is currently Chair of the Science Steering Group for WCRP's Climate and Cryosphere (CliC) project and Principal Investigator of CRYSYS—The Cryosphere System in Canada.
