Alexander A. Barannik

Alexander A. Barannik was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, in April 23, 1975. He received the Diploma degree in cryogenic techniques and technology from National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,” Kharkiv, in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree in radiophysics (physical and mathematical sciences) from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, Kharkiv, in 2004. Since 2000, he has been working with the O. Ya. Usikov Institute for Radiophysics and Electronics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kharkiv, as a Junior Researcher in 2000, a Scientific Researcher in 2005, and a Senior Researcher in 2007. He has authored or coauthored more than 100 scientific publications. He holds five patents. His scientific activities focus on studying the microwave characteristics of condensed matter, including HTS, dielectrics, and liquids using whispering-gallery-mode (WGM) dielectric resonators. He also studies the electrodynamic properties of various types of WGM resonators.
