My current research is focused on the steam-driven eruptions: these are triggered by the explosive vaporization of hot water trapped in pores and cracks of geothermal or volcanic terrains. Particularly, I am investigating the role of the host environment properties (lithology, alteration degree, tectonic context) in controlling the steam-driven eruption's dynamic and potential violence.
