Bio
Brendan M. Hanrahan received the B.S. degree in ceramic and materials engineering from Clemson University, Clemson, SC, USA, in 2006, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in materials science and engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA, in 2009 and 2013, respectively.
He has been a Materials Engineer with the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Sensors and Electron Devices Directorate, Adelphi Laboratory Center, Adelphi, MD, USA, since 2009, and is currently serving in a post-doctoral research position in the Compact Power Team. His current research interests include energy conversion materials processing and characterization, novel fabrication techniques for microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), and the development of MEMS components for compact, portable power systems.
