Bio
Aykut Dengi received the B.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, in 1992, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, in 1997.
He currently leads the Advanced Research and Development Group, Cadence Design Systems Inc., Tempe, AZ, where his research is focused on electronic design automation (EDA) algorithms and software, in particular for RF, analog, and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs). He has been a principle investigator for the UltraSYN project under the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) NeoCAD program, where he has led the development of a complete schematic-to-layout synthesis and verification system for RF ICs. From 1994 to 2001, he was with Motorola Inc., where his research spanned interconnect and passive device modeling and simulation, signal integrity verification for high-performance digital and mixed-signal ICs, electromagnetic simulation, and design flows for RF ICs. During his tenure with Motorola Inc., he also served as an assignee at SEMATECH and contributed to the Chip Hierarchical Design System Project.
