Bio
Ash is a Research Fellow in the Diabetes Research Centre at the University of Leicester. He works across several areas of interest including ethnic minority health, research equality, multiple long-term conditions (multimorbidity), and Covid-19.
Ash has authored over 50 publications. He sits on the editorial board of BMC Public Health and he is currently guest editing a Special Issue focused on Ethnic Minority Health and Primary Care in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic Ash has contributed to Covid-19 related research and policy recommendations. Ash is a member of the National Long Covid Research Working Group led by Professor Kamlesh Khunti.
Prior to joining Leicester in 2019 Ash worked at the School of Sport Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University, and The School of Medicine Pharmacy and Health at Durham University. His initial training was in Physical Activity and Public Health.
