Bio
Arish Alreja received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical
engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 2007 and 2016, respectively. He is
currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in neural computation program at the Center for Neural Basis of Cognition,
Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA. From 2007 to 2014, he worked on real-time communications in the Skype
division of Microsoft as a Senior Program Manager, developing media technology and cloud infrastructure for
audio/video/screen sharing. He participated in the multimodal Tongue Drive System (mTDS) project at the
GT-Bionics Lab in 2015-2016. His research interests include signal processing, machine learning, biological and
computational vision and theoretical neuroscience.
