Bio
I am currently working as a Technology Transfer Consultant for FORTH's TTO, i.e. PRAXI Network (https://praxinetwork.gr/en/home/). Prior to this, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Hellenic Mediterranean University at Prof. E. Kymakis’ group (https://nanohmu.gr/) for a year. My research focused on materials processing for pharmacokinetics. Formerly, I worked for almost two and a half years as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in IESL-FORTH (Heraklion, Greece) conveying the information about 3D Printing on the micrometer scale; applications portfolio, software and platforms. Heretofore I worked as a R&D Scientist developing new methods of lithography in Nanoscribe GmbH (Karlsruhe, Germany) and prior to that as a Post-doctoral Researcher and Laser Development Engineer funded by the Marie Curie ITN, TOPBIO project (Bordeaux, France). I graduated from the Department of Physics, University of Crete, Greece in 2007. I then attended M.Sc. program 'Microelectronics and Optoelectronics', which I completed successfully in 2009 with distinction. My M.Sc. research project was carried out at the IESL– FORTH & its subject was '2D and 3D Deposition of Biocompatible and Biological materials by Laser-based techniques'. I successfully completed my PhD studies in the Optical Manipulation Group (St. Andrews, UK) entitled 'Probing the Modal Characteristics of Novel Beam Shapes' on a EPSRC scholarship, in October 2013.
