Bio
I am an Associate Professor in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. In addition to in-house magnetic and structural characterization tools (magnetometries, AFM-MFM, HRTEM), the primary investigation techniques I employ are synchrotron-based X-ray spectroscopies and microscopies.
My research falls into five main areas of interest:
• Multifunctional nanoparticles and nanoelements: magnetic and plasmonic properties
• Size-dependent scaling laws in magnetic nanoparticles
• Magnetic domain configurations in exchange-coupled materials
• Control of magnetism across metal to insulator transitions
• Spin configurations in magnetic nanowires
