I study the role of astrocytes in cerebrovascular regulation and how this is disrupted in neurological disorders. My interest include: neuro-glio-vascular coupling, regulation of capillary blood flow by pericytes, microvascular flow, neurovascular uncoupling in stroke and dementia, developmental and aging-related changes in neurovascular coupling, cellular bases of BOLD-fMRI.
