个人简介
António Vilanova obtained a MSc degree in environmental engineering, in 2014, from the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto (FEUP), being awarded with a Scholarship by Exceptional Academic Merit, which recognizes the best student of the course. In 2016, he was awarded with a competitive individual fellowship to carry on his PhD studies in chemical and biological engineering at FEUP, completing his PhD degree in February 2021, with the thesis entitled "Photoelectrochemical Devices for Solar Hydrogen Production". During his PhD work, he performed short research stays at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in Cologne, Germany. António Vilanova currently works as innovation developer at Capwatt Metanol, part of the Sonae Group (Maia, Portugal). Previously, Antonio worked as innovation developer at Capwatt SA (November 2022-March 2023) and as research fellow at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) in Braga (April 2021-October 2022). António was also responsible for FEUP’s activities in the European Project PECDEMO (Photoelectrochemical Demonstrator Device for Solar Hydrogen Generation, 2014-2017). António is author and co-author of 9 scientific articles in high-impact journals and was the main supervisor of two master students. António is effective member of the Portuguese Engineers Association of Portugal in Chemical Engineering.
