In addition to diagnostic pathological skills, he has had rich teaching experience to provide lectures, tutorials, and research supervision to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2004. He is enthusiastic about teaching and receives a number of positive feedings from students. He was awarded the "Teacher of the Year (MBChB Year 4), Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong" in 2018.

Moreover, he actively participated in national and international academic activities. He is the first author, corresponding author, or co-author for more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals, books, and book chapters. He has been invited to provide lectures in various pathology meetings in mainland China and overseas.

He is an independent pathologist with high working efficiency (handling about 7000 surgical specimens every year in his private practice), strong academic background, and rich teaching experience.
