Anthony Staines

Anthony Staines, PhD, currently runs the Patient Safety Program of the Hospital Federation of Vaud (Switzerland), and advises several hospitals on Patient Safety strategies. He holds a PhD in Management from the IFROSS Institute at University of Lyon (France) where he lectures on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. He is the co-author, with John Øvretveit, of a book on improving value in health care. He serves as Deputy Editor for the International Journal for Quality in Health Care and as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board on Quality in Healthcare for the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health. His research focuses on Quality and Safety in Healthcare.
