Anthony Gonsalves

Anthony J. Gonsalves (M’07) received the M.Sc. degree in physics from the University of Bristol, U.K., in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Physics, University of Oxford, U.K., in 2006. He joined the LOASIS Program (currently named the BELLA Center) in 2006 as a Post-Doctoral Researcher in 2006, where he is currently a Staff Scientist. He is the Head of Plasma Sources and Control Systems, and Lead on the Multi-GeV Acceleration Experiments performed with the BELLA Peta-Watt Laser System. His current research interests include high-intensity laser-plasma plasma interactions (e.g. for charged particle acceleration and radiation generation) and plasma waveguides.
