个人简介
Anne Soini is a post-doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the University of Jyväskylä (JYU), Finland. She finished her PhD in Health Sciences at the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences at the JYU in 2015 and her Master of Sport Sciences at the JYU in 1999. Dr Soini has worked in teaching and research positions for over 13 years at the JYU. Her research interests focus on young children’s and their families physical activity and well-being and physical education in early childhood teacher education (ECTE). Dr Soini has been a member of a national expert group for developing the Finnish physical activity recommendations for preschool children (2016) and in a research and development project on monitoring the joy of motion, physical activity, and motor skills of young children (2021).
The current multidisciplinary research projects include the following:
1) Investigating how well-being and promoting well-being are approached in the curricula of the Faculty of Education and Psychology and Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences at JYU (in cooperation with JYU.Well),
2) Exploring skills and capabilities of early childhood education preservice teachers in Finnish universities (in cooperation with JYU, TAU, UEF and OU),
3) Researching and comparing ECTE programmes between the five Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden) (in cooperation with the MovECE network: the University of Southern Denmark; University of Jyväskylä, Finland; University of Iceland; University of South-Eastern Norway; Kristianstad University, Sweden; & Malmö University, Sweden.),
4) Analysing sand play for 0–8-year-old children’s health and development (in cooperation with UEF and JYU), and
5) Exploring playground habits of young children and their families (in cooperation with JYU and the city of Jyväskylä),
6) Exploring how and for whom music and physical activity function as a daily resource (in cooperation with the Faculty of Education and Psychology, Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, and Department of Music, Art, and Culture studies), and
7) Working in AIESEP early years SIG experts-network. The network investigates how physical play is enacted in the policy and practice of twelve countries. (Involved partners: Deakin University, Australia; Universiteit Brussel, Ghent University and Arteveldehogeschool, Belgium; Brock University, Canada; Peking University, China; University of Jyväskylä, Finland; Dublin City University, and Atlantic Technological University, Sligo, Ireland, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, University of Beira Interior, Portugal, University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, Kristianstad University, Sweden, Canterbury Christ Church University, United Kingdom, Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, University of West Florida, and University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA)
