My nursing career has been rich with constant learning, challenging situations, new opportunities and satisfaction from my contribution to the wellbeing of individuals and communities. As a Community Health Nurse and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner I collaborated with low-income rural communities, children with disabilities and their parents, and refugee families. My clinical work took me to Seattle, Indonesia, Alabama and Italy. While working for the Washington State Department of Health I crafted health policy, conducted public hearings, and implemented and evaluated programs. I have contributed to Nursing education in rural Alabama, Montana, Namibia and Seattle.
