Bio
Anna Pyayt received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Saint-Petersburg State Institute of Fine Mechanics and Optics, Saint-Petersburg, Russia, in 2001 and 2002, respectively, and the M.S.E.E. degree in 2005 from the University of Washington, Seattle, where she is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and nanotechnology.
She is the author or coauthor of 20 publications.
Ms. Pyayt is a member of the Optical Society of America, the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE), and the Women in Optics. She is the President of the SPIE student chapter at the University of Washington. She has received numerous awards and honors, including the SPIE Educational Scholarship in Optical Science and Engineering four times (2003–2006), the University of Washington Nanotechnology Initiatives Fund (UIF) Graduate Research Award for 2004–2005, and the University of Washington Electrical Engineering Young Innovator Fellowship in 2003.
