Bio
Animesh Yadav (S’08, M’14, SM'20) is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY. Before joining Syracuse University, Dr. Yadav was with Memorial University, Canada as a Research Associate and Lecturer from 2016-18. Prior to that, he held as a Post-doctorate Research Fellow and Research Scientist at the University of Quebec at Montreal, Canada from 2014-16 and Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC) at University of Oulu, Finland from 2008-14, respectively. During 2003-07, he worked for Capgemini and Bittium Oy., as a Software Specialist (DSP) and Modem Design Engineer in India and Finland, respectively. He is also a recipient of the prestigious grant from The Fonds de Recherche du Québec–Nature et Technologies (FRQNT) for postdoctoral research in 2015. He has received several scholarships and awards throughout his career including the Nokia Foundation Scholarship in 2011. He is a recipient of three best paper awards (IEEE IWCMC 2017, WiMOB 2016 and Teckriti 2000). His current research interests are the 5G enabling technologies, green communications, energy harvesting communications, information theory and machine learning. He is an IEEE Senior Member and currently serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE Communications Letters and Frontiers in Communications and Networks .
Dr. Yadav holds a doctorate, a master’s, and a bachelor's (with honors) degrees all in electrical engineering from University of Oulu, Finland, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India, and Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra, India, respectively.
