个人简介
I have an extensive research background encompassing various disciplines such as the nervous system, cell signaling, molecular biology, genetics, biological rhythms, sleep behavior, anxiety-like and social behavior. Additionally, I have expertise in utilizing model organisms, including rats, mice, and the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster.
Throughout my scientific career, my primary focus has been investigating the mechanisms underlying regulating daily rhythmic behaviors by the circadian clock. I have sought to elucidate these intricate processes and their implications to deepen our understanding of how biological rhythms shape behavior.
In recent years, I have broadened my research interests to include the study of gene mutations associated with autism spectrum disorder and their impact on nervous system function. In pursuing this line of inquiry, I predominantly employ Drosophila as a valuable model organism in biomedical research. Leveraging its powerful genetic tools and a wide array of sophisticated behavioral tests, I aim to unravel the effects of these mutations and identify potential therapeutic targets for autism spectrum disorder.
My research efforts are currently centered on exploring the behavioral, developmental, and aging implications of mutations linked to psychiatric and mental disorders in humans. Through my investigations, I am dedicated to contributing to the field of neuroscience, advancing our knowledge of the intricate connections between genetics, brain function, and behavioral outcomes in health and disease contexts.
