Bio
Andrew V. Caprariello, Ph.D. is the Associate Director of Biology at Convelo Therapeutics in Cleveland, Ohio where he oversees the design and execution of preclinical efficacy studies in rodent models of remyelination with the end goal of developing small molecules that accelerate remyelination in multiple sclerosis and related disorders of myelin. He trained as a neural cell biologist with Robert H. Miller, Ph.D. at Case Western Reserve University before postdoc training with Peter K. Stys at the University of Calgary. A unique combination of imaging spectroscopy and histology in original animal models powers his studies of the fundamental mechanisms of white matter pathogenesis, particularly multiple sclerosis.
