My major research focus is to apply a multidisciplinary reaction engineering approach to develop fundamental understandings in the fields of biomass pyrolysis, transport phenomena and reaction engineering of pharmaceutics. Specific topics include understanding the dynamics reactive liquid intermediate during biomass fast pyrolysis, revealing and characterizing diffusion limitations at the surface of zeolites, and developing continuous flow peptide synthesis.
