PhD in Cardiovascular Science (2018) on the use of cardiac biomarkers for the assessment and diagnosis of patients with myocardial injury and infarction. Ongoing research into the use of risk stratification pathways (High-STEACS) for rule out of suspected acute coronary syndrome, being evaluated in a stepped wedge cluster randomised controlled trial, results due 2019. Main research interest is in type 2 myocardial infarction. Leading prospective study using both invasive and non-invasive imaging (DEMAND-MI) with the goal of improving understanding of disease mechanism and determining if outcomes are modifiable.
