Andrew B. Calloway

Andrew Calloway, an AE graduate of Georgia Tech ‘89, has 29 years of experience in space mission operations including 20 in planetary exploration as of 2022. Andy most recently served five years as Mission Operations Manager (MOM) for OSIRIS-REx, which operated in close proximity to the asteroid Bennu for two years culminating in sample collection and stow in October 2020. In 1996, Andy began six years supporting the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He then joined JHU/APL and the MESSENGER team in 2002, and served as the MOM from 2007-2015. Andy was also the deputy Encounter Manager for the New Horizons Pluto flyby from 2013-2014. Andy's current projects include Europa Clipper, which will study the Jovian moon Europa, and Dragonfly, a rotorcraft that will explore Saturn's moon Titan.
