Andrey V. Savilov

Andrey V. Savilov was born in Shatsk, Ryazan region, U.S.S.R., in 1968. He received the M.Sc. degree with honors from the Advanced School of General and Applied Physics, Nizhny Novgorod State University, Russia, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the Institute of Applied Physics, Russian Academy of Science, Nizhny Novgorod, in 1992 and 1996, respectively. He is currently a Senior Scientist in the Department of Plasma Physics and High-Power Electronics, the Institute of Applied Physics, Russian Academy of Science. His research interests include relativistic electron masers, efficiency enhancement, nonstationary dynamics, mode interaction, and space-charge effects. Dr. Savilov was awarded the Medal and Prize of the Russian Academy of Science for young scientists in 2000.
