个人简介
Andreas Burg (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in Munich, Germany, in 1975. He received the Dipl.-Ing. degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland, in 2000, and the Dr. sc. techn. degree from the Integrated Systems Laboratory of ETH Zurich, in 2006. In 1998, he worked with Siemens Semiconductors, San Jose, CA, USA. During the doctoral studies, he worked with the Bell Laboratories, Wireless Research, for a total of one year. From 2006 to 2007, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Integrated Systems Laboratory and the Communication Theory Group, ETH Zurich. In 2007, he co-founded Celestrius, an ETH-spinoff in the field of MIMO wireless communication, where he was responsible for the ASIC development as the Director of VLSI. In January 2009, he joined ETH Zurich as a SNF Assistant Professor and the Head of the Signal Processing Circuits and Systems Group, Integrated Systems Laboratory. In January 2011, he joined École Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), where he is currently leading the Telecommunications Circuits Laboratory. He was promoted to an associate professor (tenure) in June 2018. In 2021, he co-founded RAAAM Technologies, a spinoff from EPFL and Bar-Ilan University, to commercialize the highest density embedded memories in any standard CMOS technology. He has served on the TPC for various conferences on signal processing, communications, and VLSI. He was the TPC Co-Chair of VLSI-SoC 2012 and the TCP Co-Chair of ESSCIRC 2016 and SiPS 2017. He was the General Chair of ISLPED 2019. He is also the Chair of the EURASIP TAC-SPCN and a member of the IEEE CAS-VSATC. He served as an Editor for the IEEE Transactions of Circuits and Systems in 2013 and the Editorial Board Member of the Microelectronics Journal (Springer). He is currently an Editor of the Journal of Signal Processing Systems (Springer), the Journal of Low Power Electronics and its Applications (MDPI), the IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Systems, and the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing.
