个人简介
Anders Forsman's research deals with how evolutionary processes contribute to the diversity of shapes, colours, functions and behaviours seen between different forms of life. He also investigates how variation among individuals in functionally important traits affects the ecological success of populations and species, and their ability to survive in a world where living conditions constantly change. Forsman studies insects (groundhoppers, pygmy grasshoppers or grouse locusts), frogs, snakes, lizards, fish and mammals. His research combines behavioural studies, experiments, genetic markers and theoretical modelling. This research contributes new knowledge of fundamental biological processes, has important implications for applied conservation biology and can contribute to the development of more sustainable forms of agriculture, fishing and forestry.
