Bio
Dr. Amin A. El-Meligi is a Professor of Physical Chemistry and Dean of Student Affairs at AMA International University Bahrain, Math and Natural Sci. Dept, Bahrain and National Research Centre, Centre of Excellence for Advanced Science, Physical Chemistry Dept., Egypt. He received his BSc and MSc from Cairo University. He received his PhD from UMIST-Manchester, UK and Cairo University, Egypt under joined supervision system. Professor El-Meligi has over 24 years of research and teaching experience. His research interests include electrochemistry and corrosion, renewable energy, hydrogen storage and hydrogen production, and nanomaterials. He participated in a number of national and international research projects. Professor El-Meligi is a member of international and national organization, especially, International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD), USA. He was a visiting scientist from 2000 to 2004 at University of Durham, Chemistry Dept. He is a frequent speaker in national and international conferences on materials and renewable energy, especially hydrogen storage materials, hydrogen productions and hydrogen energy, and layered nanomaterials. Professor El-Meligi received the award and honor from a number of organizations -The International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England, nominated him as one of the “International Scientist of the Year for 2006- “The International “MARQUES” Organization in USA Selected me to be represented in the Series “Who's Who in The World”, 2006, this is due the Scientific Contribution. Misr El-Kheir (MEK) Foundation, Egypt, which is dedicated to lead the civic society to promote, foster and support scientific research, awarded him one of the first annual Scientific Publications Awards-2010. His researches are on international spot and received international recognition, such as on Research Gate. His chapter “Nanostructure of Materials and Corrosion Resistance” published in the book “Developments in Corrosion Protection”, ISBN 980-953-307-1100-2, has reached more than 1500 download internationally.
