Ali Saffet Gonul

Ali Saffet Gonul received the MD degree from Hacettepe Medical Faculty. He completed his psychiatry specialization from the Department of Psychiatry at Erciyes University. In 2002 he joined Department of Psychiatry Affective Diseases Unit, Ege University Faculty of Medicine. He became an associate professor, in 2004 and received training on structural and functional brain imaging from the Louis Pasteur University of Physics Biology, in Strasbourg, with the French Government's Charcot Scholarship. He worked as a postdoc researcher in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Clinic, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Stony Brook University, USA. He received the “fellowship” Award from the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology, in 2003. In 2009, he established the SoCAT brain-imaging laboratory in the Psychiatry Department, Faculty of Medicine, Ege University.
