个人简介
Ali Nadir Arslan received the D.Sc. (Tech.) degree from the Helsinki
University of Technology, Espoo, Finland, in 2006.
He is a Senior Scientist at the Finnish Meterological Institute. His fields of expertise are: remote sensing methods
and applications for cryosphere, electromagnetic theory, and modeling. He is currently managing following projects: 1)
EU FP7 Cooperation Work Programme 2013: SEN3APP Processing lines and operational services combining sentinel and
in-situ data for terrestrial cryosphere and boreal forest, 2013-2016, http://sen3app.fmi.fi; 2) EU
LIFE+ 2012 call: MONIMET (Climate change indicators and vulnerability of boreal zone applying innovative
observation and modelling techniques), 2013–2017, http://monimet.fmi.fi; and 3) COST Action ES1404: A
European network for a harmonised monitoring of snow for the benefit of climate change scenarios, hydrology and
numerical weather prediction, 2015–2018, www.harmosnow.eu.
Dr. Arslan is the Chairman of COPERNICUS Finnish User Forum, http://cufin.fmi.fi.
