个人简介
Research Interest: Neovascularization biology during health and Pathogen
The long-term objective of my project is to improve our understanding of mechanisms which contribute to the regulation of tone in neovascularization. Angiogenic process stimulated by hypoxia and inflammation produce angiogenic stimulus such as VEGF. Diabetes and hypertension are increasing in the world and causes severe cardiovascular complications; the number one killer disease. Peripheral arterial disease including hind-limbs ischemia with altered neovascularization leads to foot amputation and new therapeutic strategy are urgently needed.
My research interest focuses on:
1- Studying signal transduction mechanisms in the vasculature, with special interest on defining the mechanisms by which cells in the vascular wall respond to external stimuli in normal and pathological conditions.
2- The role of stem cells, sodium nitrate, reticulum endoplasmic stress, growth factor, NFkB and MAP-kinase in neovascularization pathophysiology.
My research interest include :
1- Nutrition and food safety.
2- Natural product.
3- Cancer Biology
These studies using basic molecular biology techniques to determine the function of the regulatory elements; and investigated in both cell culture systems and transgenic mice.
