During my professional experience as researcher, from I started as an assitant student, in a group of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (University of Cordoba), to get my PhD in a Biomedicine program at the same university with a PhD project untitled "Identification of surface-exposed proteins and surface-derived structures from Streptococcus pneumoniae for vaccine and diagnostic tools purposes", I have learned, developed and carried out a wide range of techniques that let to classify my experience as interdisciplinary Among them I could mention proteomic techniques such as Shut-gun gel-free (surface digestion of clinical isolates of living Streptococcus pneumoniae) and gel-based (mono and two-dimensional) and molecular biology techniques as cloning and recombinant protein production, others about microscopy (electronics, confocal, fluorescence ...), flow cytometry, cell culture (J774 macrophages and epithelial A549), serological (wester / dot blot, protein microarrays, ELISAs) and, lately, bioinformatics (mainly based on the identification and analysis of proteins by free search engines and software platforms as XTandem !, Trans-Proteomic Pipeline or TOPPAS of OpenMS), etc ...
During my PhD in Biomedicine at Univeristy of Córdoba (UCO), with a PhD project untitled "Identification of surface-exposed proteins and surface-derived structures from Streptococcus pneumoniae for vaccine and diagnostic tools purposes", I have learned, developed and carried out a wide range of techniques to complete an interdisciplinar experience: proteomics, such as shut-gun gel-free (surface digestion of living cells) and gel-based (1DE and 2DE); molecular biology, as recombinant protein production; microscopy (SEM/TEM, confocal, fluorescence...), flow cytometry, cell culture (J774 macrophages and epithelial A549), serological (western/dot blot, microarrays, ELISAs) and, lately, bioinformatics (with free search engines and software platforms as X!Tandem, Trans-Proteomic Pipeline or TOPPAS).

- Prize for the best Oral Communication in the Session “Chronic and Infectious Deseases. Senescense” in the II Young Researchers Conference of IMIBIC (11 May 2011).
