Alexia Giannoula received the B.Sc. degree in computer science from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2001, the M.A.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering, University of Toronto, in 2008. She is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Medical Optics Group, Institute of Photonic Sciences, Barcelona, Spain. Her research interests are elastography, image reconstruction using acoustical and optical methods, shear wave propagation, image, and signal processing.
