Bio
Sergey Alexandrov is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Galway, Ireland. Before Ireland he worked as a Research Associate with the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Medicine, PA, USA, and as a Research Assistant Professor with Optical Biomedical Engineering Laboratory (OBEL), Department of Electrical, Electronic & Computer Engineering, at the University of Western Australia (UWA).
Currently he works on development of new optical methods and tools for label free 2D and 3D visualization of the sub-wavelength structure with nano-sensitivity to structural alterations. Significant contribution has resulted in creation of new optical microscopy and optical coherence tomography (OCT) methods and techniques for nano-sensitive, high resolution (super-resolution) imaging, non-destructive testing, diagnostic and its application to different objects, including biomedical ones.
