Bio
Food Engineer from the Federal University of Rio Grande (2001), a Master's Degree in Food Science and Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande (2004), and a PhD in Agroindustrial Science and Technology from the Federal University of Pelotas (2008). He worked as a food engineer in the meat and soy processing industries in 2002 and 2003 and has been teaching since 2004. Since 2005 he has been an effective professor at the Federal University of Technology - Paraná. He works in the Food Technology course and in the Graduate Program in Food Technology (PPGTAL). Associate Editor of the journal Food Science and Technology of the Brazilian Society of Food Science and Technology from 2013 to 2014. Consultant Ad Hoc of national and international periodicals. He was general director of the Francisco Beltrão campus at UTFPR from 2013 to 2021. He has experience in Food Science and Technology, with emphasis on by-product utilization, working mainly on the following topics: collagen, gelatin, films, meat products, and natural additives.
