Alexander Kocian received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark, in 2003. He is currently a Research Fellow with the Department of Computer Science, University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy. He has worked on numerous projects funded by the Tuscany and Liguria Regions in Italy, the European Space Agency, and the Italian National Research Council. His current research areas are in signal processing, machine learning, and Internet of Things, where he has coauthored dozens of peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Kocian is currently a TPC Chair of the European Alliance of Innovation INTSYS conference. He also serves as a member of Editorial Board for Stats (MDPI) and Signals (MDPI).
