Alessandro Maturilli

Alessandro Maturilli is a staff researcher and deputy leader in the department of Planetary Laboratories at the Institute of Planetary Research, DLR, since 2016. He works in the field of planetary spectroscopy with a focus on mineral/rock characterization of planetary surfaces. He is the manager of the Planetary Spectroscopy Laboratory (PSL) and Co-I or participating scientist on many planetary missions from ESA, NASA, and JAXA. Alessandro received his Master's degree in Mathematics from the University “La Sapienza” in Rome, Italy and his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University “Federico II” of Naples, Italy
