个人简介
I am a global change macroecologist interested in understanding what drives the response of species and communities to environmental changes and the consequences of such changes for both ecosystem functions and services. My ultimate goal is to contribute knowledge-based advice that helps address many of today's top environmental problems, especially those that require a broad-scale approach.
My scientific output has three focal points: (1) Generating spatially explicit hypotheses of where novel ecosystems could emerge due to current/future climatic and land-use changes. (2) Showing the lasting impact of past climate changes on species composition and the trait makeup of plant communities and the implications for the emergence and permeance of novel ecosystems. (3) Describing global patterns of functional differentiation between native and alien plant species and their applicability to determining alien plants' invasion potential.
