个人简介
Alejandro F Azocar (S’16) received the B.S. degree in aerospace
engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 2015. He is currently working toward the Ph.D.
degree in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA.
From 2010 to 2015, he worked in the Land, Air, and Space Robotics (LASR) Lab, Vehicle Systems and Control Lab
(VSCL), and the A&M Bipedal Experimental Robotics (AMBER) Lab. He also completed six tours as a cooperative
education student at NASA Johnson Space Center. His current research interests include the design and control of
prostheses and exoskeletons, human–machine interaction, and rehabilitation of pathological gait.
He is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and a GEM Associate Fellow. In 2015, he received the Sigma Gamma Tau Ammon S.
Andes National Award, recognizing him as the top aerospace engineering student in the United States. In 2013,
Alejandro received the NASA Aeronautics Scholarship. He also earned first place at both the 2013 and 2015 AIAA Region
IV Student Paper Conferences.
