Bio
Alberto Tofani received the master's degree in computer science and applications and the Ph.D. degree from the University of L’Aquila, L’Aquila, Italy, in 2002 and 2007, respectively.
He is currently a Staff Scientist with DTE-SEN-APIC Lab (Laboratory for the Analysis and Protection of Critical Infrastructure), ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies Energy and Sustainable Economic Development), Rome, Italy, which aims at designing and realizing advanced technological solutions in the field of modeling and simulation tools for supporting scientific research and industrial R&D. He has been involved in several European Projects (DIESIS, CIPRNET, ATENA) and is the coauthor of several scientific papers. His research interests include distributed and federated simulation environment for critical infrastructure interdependencies analysis, new generation of decision support systems to support CIs operators and disaster managers, and CI resilience assessment and analysis.
