Albert Teis

Graduated in Biotechnology from the University of Murcia in 2020 and in the Master's Degree in Bioinformatics from the same university in 2021. During 2 years, while pursuing my degree, I worked as an intern in the Department of Informatics and Systems at the University of Murcia, acquiring skills in programming and databases. In the last year, I completed my curricular internship at the Biomedical Informatics and Bioinformatics Platform of the Murcian Institute of Biomedical Research, where I consolidated my knowledge and delved into bioinformatics by developing useful tools for scientific purposes. As a result, I enrolled in the Master's Degree in Bioinformatics the following year and was awarded the extraordinary prize for the best academic record of the 2020-2021 academic year. After finishing my degree, I was hired by CIBERCV to assist in statistical analysis and database development in the Clinical and Translational Cardiovascular Research Group (ICTC), located at the LAIB of the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Hospital and directed by Domingo Andrés Pascual Figal (a position I currently hold). Finally, I am enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Health Sciences at the University of Murcia to carry out a thesis in which I will use bioinformatics tools to improve cardiovascular research. All of my academic and work experience is focused on statistical analysis, database development, programming, and the use of bioinformatics to contribute to biomedical advances.
